Sheets Sensational, 5-for-7 Friday, September 6th, 2019 Gavin Sheets had an answer for everything the Buies Creek Astros threw at him today at Banner Island Ballpark. The Stockton first baseman went 5-for-7 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Ports on top, 89-2. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Sheets said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Gavin Sheets flied out in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Henry Valencio in the 5th, walked in the 5th, walked in the 6th, singled in the 6th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, walked in the 7th and walked in the 7th. For the year Sheets is hitting .303 with 17 home runs. His stats include 81 runs batted in and 69 runs scored. |
