Oscar Hernandez took A by storm this year, and he did it all at the age of 26.

For his spectacular campaign, the Charlotte Stone Crabs star has been named the 2019 American Conference Most Valuable Player Award recipient.

"To be considered amongst the best in the league is overwhelming," said the catcher.

On the season he compiled a .356 batting average to go with a .425 on-base percentage. The native of Punto Fijo, Venezuela also added 28 doubles, 3 triples, 34 home runs, 136 RBIs and 94 runs scored.

He received 26 first place votes out of a possible 30. Daniel Johnson of the Lakeland Flying Tigers finished second in voting, while Blake Gailen of the Lakeland Flying Tigers finished third.
