League Rules Cruz Out 2 Games Saturday, April 27th, 2019 Oneil Cruz of Buies Creek got more than he bargained for when he was ejected for arguing a third strike call in yesterday's game against the Down East Wood Ducks. It turns out that the ejection wasn't the end of it. Today, the league decided to suspend Cruz for 2 games for his actions which included a rant filled with inappropriate language and throwing equipment on the field once he returned to the dugout. "Players need to show more restraint on the field," the league's announcement said. "Cruz obviously crossed the line and we had to take the proper action against him." For the year Cruz is hitting .292 with 2 home runs. His stats include 11 runs batted in and 6 runs scored. |
