Extra-Inning Walk-Off Win for Reds
|
Eugenio Suarez had a good game, but he could not keep the Milwaukee Brewers from falling, 5-4, to the Cincinnati Reds at Great American Ball Park. The Milwaukee shortstop was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. The win was credited to Sal Romano in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Yonathan Daza took the loss. Cincinnati is now 42-44.
Late-game drama came in the bottom of the 11th inning. With one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Trea Turner, hit a single. It helped Cincinnati seize the win.
"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Turner told the Cincinnati Daily.
