|
San Francisco Giants starter Pablo Lopez was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Washington Nationals, 2-0. The winning pitcher was Lopez, now 9-9. He tossed 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 4. San Francisco is now riding a 6-game win streak.
One significant at-bat for San Francisco came with a runner on 1st in the bottom of the fifth. Giants center fielder Tyler Naquin hit a 2-run home run, which helped San Francisco go on to win.
