The Minnesota Twins beat the Texas Rangers, 8-5, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. The Twins got a fine performance from third baseman Miguel Rojas, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Tommy Kahnle got the save, his 8th in 10 chances. The last-place Twins lifted their record to 47-74.

Rojas had a critical at-bat in the top of the fifth for Minnesota, coming through with a 3-run home run to put Minnesota in front, 4-2.

"This is not a one-man show," said Rojas. "A lot of the guys stepped up."
