Rangers Win at Baltimore, 4-3
|
Oriole Park at Camden Yards was the site of a competitive game between the Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers.
The Rangers had to overcome a fine effort from Baltimore pitcher Cole Hamels to grab a narrow 4-3 win at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Hamels went 6.1 innings and allowed 4 earned runs. Texas reliever Tim Mayza was the winner. His record is now 6-3. The losing pitcher was Cole Hamels. Reyes Moronta, credited with the save, is now 3 for 6 in save opportunities.
Texas took a 4-3 lead on Jose Osuna's 14th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Osuna hit in the top of the seventh, left Baltimore pitcher Cole Hamels shaking his head.
"It was a good effort all around," said Osuna.
Texas is now 86-58, 3½ games up in the American League West Division.
