Reds Finish Off Cubs in 12
|
The Cincinnati Reds racked up a win at Wrigley Field, bumping off the Chicago Cubs, 6-4. Dallas Keuchel, who started for Cincinnati, pitched effectively for his team. Cincinnati reliever Daniel Norris picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Kelvin Herrera was saddled with the loss. Cincinnati has a 4-game win streak, while Chicago has lost 3 in a row.
It could have been a different outcome for Cincinnati, had it not been for Trea Turner, the 26-year old shortstop . Turner contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put Cincinnati up, 6-4.
"There's no quit in this team," said Reds manager Brad S.
