Rangers Come Back Late to Top Astros
|
Texas starter Jose Quintana had a strong outing against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 3-2 win. Texas reliever Reyes Moronta was the winner. His record is now 5-2. The losing pitcher was Alex Colome. Texas leads the American League West Division by 7½ games.
The contest featured some late-game dramatics from Texas third baseman Jeimer Candelario. In the top of the eighth inning, with one out and a runner on 1st, Candelario drew a walk to help Texas seize the win.
"You get some opportunities, you better take advantage of them," said Houston manager Jim Reid.
