Rangers Get Past Los Angeles for 5-4 Win
|
Texas center fielder Ender Inciarte was instrumental in his team's 5-4 win over the Los Angeles Angels. Inciarte, who led the AL in triples with 12 last year, went 3-4 with no runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rangers. The Rangers, now 8-1, have stormed out of the gates.
Inciarte had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a full count fastball from Jeurys Familia, he banged a run-scoring double to left-center, giving the Rangers a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd double of the year for Inciarte.
"We're in a marathon, not a sprint," said Inciarte. "But I like how we're playing right now."
