6 Straight Wins for Nationals
|
Washington starter Corey Kluber had a strong outing against the San Francisco Giants at Nationals Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 6-3 win. Washington improves to 8-7 as they look to defend their championship.
With Washington trailing 3-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Kluber came up to bat against San Francisco pitcher Anthony DeSclafani. Kluber hit a slider to left for a grand slam home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Nationals on top, 5-3.
Kluber called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
