Phillies Get Road Win, 7-3
|
Benefiting from an exceptional performance from Todd Frazier, the Philadelphia Phillies defeated the New York Mets, 7-3. Frazier was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Phillies. The win was credited to Jake Petricka in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Andrew Suarez took the loss. Losses have been few and far between for the Mets so far this season. Their record drops to 16-8.
Frazier came through with some timely hitting for Philadelphia. With the score 3-2 in the top of the fourth and no one down, Frazier hit a full count fastball for a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season made it 5-3, Philadelphia.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Frazier said.
