Brewers Cruise to League Championship Series with Sweep
|
Yusei Kikuchi isn't taking anything for granted, but he likes his team's chances to capture a World Series.
"We're playing great baseball right now," said the Milwaukee Brewers hurler, who was named MVP of the Division Series after his club swept the New York Mets.
It's off to the League Championship Series for Milwaukee, after winning the clinching game by a 2-0 count and the series 3-0.
It remains to be seen whether Kikuchi's confidence is warranted, but at this point the team is looking good. The MVP had a 3.00 ERA over 6 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record.
The Milwaukee Brewers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Miami Marlins - San Diego Padres series. That series is tied at 1 game apiece. The League Championship Series is scheduled to begin on October 12th, 2019.
