Week's #1 Player: San Francisco's Palka Monday, September 23rd, 2019 27-year-old Daniel Palka sent shock waves through Major League Baseball last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the National League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Palka made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .393 average, 11 hits in 28 at-bats, 6 home runs and 16 runs batted in. Where the San Francisco Giants right fielder goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Palka certainly made his mark last week. This season Palka is batting .262 with 39 RBIs, 27 runs scored and 13 home runs. |
