Great Stroke: McGuire Gets 5 Hits Monday, August 19th, 2019 Reese McGuire really sizzled at the plate in today's 7-2 win over Dodgers. The Albuquerque catcher blistered Oklahoma City for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "McGuire was too tough to get out today," the Dodgers skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Reese McGuire hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. So far this season McGuire is hitting .237 with 5 home runs, 30 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has 54 hits in 228 at-bats and a .293 OBP. |
