At the young age of only 22, DeMarcus Evans has been named the American Conference Reliever of the Year winner for 2019.
The future appears bright for the Nashville Sounds relief ace, who captured the award with 2 saves in 48 relief appearances, 105 strikeouts in 54.1 innings and a record of 6-1 to go with his 1.82 ERA.
He received 15 first place votes out of a possible 30. Ray Black of the Toledo Mud Hens finished second in voting with 13 first place votes, while Drew Muren of the Toledo Mud Hens finished third with 1 first place vote.
