Hitting Streak Still Alive for Welker Tuesday, May 14th, 2019 Colton Welker continued his streak at AT&T Field today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Trenton third baseman was 2-for-4 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Thunder were not as fortunate, losing 6-1 to the Chattanooga Lookouts. "Welker was hitting everything we threw at him," said Chattanooga manager . "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Colton Welker struck out in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and flied out in the 8th. So far this year, Welker is batting .372 with 4 home runs and 20 RBIs. |
