Week's #1 Player: Akron's Vosler Monday, September 9th, 2019 26-year-old Jason Vosler made a few Akron headlines during this past week as the rookie first baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and American Conference officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 10 hits in 23 at-bats to put up a .435 average. Vosler collected 3 home runs, 9 RBIs and scored 7 runs. This year Vosler is hitting .256 with 22 home runs and 80 RBIs in 124 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .380 with 81 walks and 92 runs scored. |
