Lynchburg Blanks Red Sox, Renteria Wins Sunday, September 1st, 2019 The Lynchburg Hillcats bested the Salem Red Sox 8-0 today behind the 3-hit pitching of right-hander Marcel Renteria. The Lynchburg hurler had 9 strikeouts and 2 walks in going the distance. "Pitching 9 innings is never easy, but it's rewarding on a day like today," Renteria said. Thus far this season, Renteria has tossed 142.2 innings in 27 starts, fanned 141 batters, walked 45 and put up a 3.72 ERA with 11 wins and 7 losses. |
