Aguiar Raps Buies Creek for 5 Hits Monday, September 2nd, 2019 It was a parade of hits for Carlos Aguiar of the Salem Red Sox at Salem Memorial Baseball Stadium today. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Aguiar finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Red Sox to a 23-1 victory. "Aguiar was really good and we were really bad," groaned Astros manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Carlos Aguiar singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 7th. This year Aguiar has hit 5 home runs and posted a .167 batting average. |
