Ports Jones Sizzles with Cycle Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 Stockton's Nolan Jones accomplished what few others have done -- he hit for the cycle, collecting a single, double, triple and home run in the same game. For the day, Jones finished 4-for-5 with 4 runs batted in and 2 runs scored and helped the Ports knock off the Frederick Keys 10-2 at Banner Island Ballpark. "I didn't even know I was about to hit for the cycle until after," Jones told reporters following the game. "One of the guys mentioned it when I got back to the dugout." Nolan Jones hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Thony Amoroso in the 8th. Looking at his season stats, Jones has compiled a .304 batting average and a .385 on-base percentage, while hitting 22 home runs and driving in 99 runs. |
