Wednesday, September 11th, 2019
Dunedin shortstop Edison Mora could do no wrong in today's 40-1 win over the Astros as he collected 5 hits.
"Things were in his favor in every one of his at-bats," Astros skipper said to the press corps after the game. "He got hitters' counts."
Mora agreed, saying that getting ahead early in the counts was "the key" to his game.
"Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit," he said. "You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready."
Edison Mora grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, struck out in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th, hit an RBI double in the 9th, hit a three-run home run off Henry Valencio in the 9th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season Mora has put up a .239 batting average with 119 hits, 3 home runs and 42 RBIs.
