7-for-8 Game for Butler Wednesday, September 11th, 2019 It was high-fives all around for Lawrence Butler at Jim Perry Stadium today. He got them from his teammates and he got them at the plate during an outstanding hitting performance against the Buies Creek Astros. Butler smashed 7 hits in 8 at-bats on his monster day, leading his club to a 40-1 win. "Lawrence was hitting everything," said Blue Jays manager . "It really was a special game for him." In the opposing dugout, Astros manager told BNN beat writers that Butler "ambushed" the club. "Obviously we didn't have much success against him, but we'll have another chance," he said. "Hopefully, Butler oversleeps next time." Lawrence Butler hit an RBI single in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, singled in the 9th, hit an RBI single in the 9th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. So far this season Butler has 15 home runs and a .284 batting average. |
