Twins Lose, 9-5, at Safeco Field
The Seattle Mariners defeated the Minnesota Twins, 9-5, at Safeco Field. Seattle catcher Pedro Severino was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Mariners saw their win-loss record go to 17-33. At the same time, the Twins fell to 17-32.

Severino had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Mariners went on to win.
