| Red Sox Prevail, 7-5, Over Houston | Boston right fielder Yasiel Puig made his presence felt in the 7-5 Red Sox triumph over the Houston Astros. Puig went 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Boston reliever Nick Vincent picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Jose A. Ramirez took the loss. Boston is now riding a 4-game win streak.
Puig had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 2-0 fastball from Jose A. Ramirez, he banged a 3-run home run to left-center, giving the Red Sox a 7-5 lead. It was the 7th home run of the year for Puig.
"Good win," said Puig. "Maybe some of the whiners in the clubhouse will pipe down for a little while now."
