Red Sox Score Late to Upend Mariners, 5-3
|
The Seattle Mariners got a superb performance from pitcher Gabriel Ynoa, but the Boston Red Sox still won the game, 5-3. Ynoa was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. The winner was Boston reliever Ryan Buchter, now 1-0. The loser was Heath Hembree. Edwin Diaz was credited with the save.
