Reds Win at Pittsburgh, 6-1
|
The 2018 season is getting ugly for Pittsburgh.
Cincinnati starter Sal Romano put a stranglehold on the Pittsburgh offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Reds to a 6-1 win. The Reds bumped their record to 43-27 with this latest triumph.
The Reds got a big at-bat from third baseman Joey Gallo. For the game, Gallo was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 24th home run of the season gave Cincinnati a 2-1 lead.
"This is a very good team," said Gallo. "We have the chance to do something special."
