Twins Get Road Win, 3-2

The Minnesota Twins got a strong performance from pitcher Matt Harvey, who stymied the Kansas City offense en route to a 3-2 win at Kauffman Stadium. Harvey, now 5-6, was the winner. In 6 innings, he gave up 6 hits, while striking out 4, walking 2, and allowing 1 earned run. Tommy Kahnle, credited with the save, is now 2 for 3 in save opportunities.
Freddie Freeman hit a run-scoring triple off Aaron Nola in the top of the sixth, which put the Twins in front, 2-1. Freeman had 1 walk, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
"We put a lot of pressure on ourselves," Harvey told a Minnesota Bulletin reporter. "Sometimes we need just to relax."
At 42-55, the Twins are currently 4th in the American League Central Division.
