Multi-HR Day for Ozuna as Nationals Overpower Brewers, 3-2
|
Washington beat Milwaukee at Miller Park, escaping with a 3-2 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Marcell Ozuna, who earned player of the game honors. He hit 2 home runs. He drove in 3 runs and scored twice. Joakim Soria got the save, his 17th in 20 chances. This win makes it 5 in a row for Washington.
Ozuna had a key at-bat for Washington early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 22nd home run of the season and gave Washington an early 2-0 lead.
"I like what I saw today," said Washington manager Josh Fisher, "and I can't wait to get back out there and do it again."
