Mancini Excels, Houston Blows Out Colorado
Spirited fans at Coors Field greeted the Colorado Rockies for their clash with the Houston Astros.

The Houston Astros beat the Colorado Rockies, 13-3, at Coors Field. The win was largely due to the efforts of left fielder Trey Mancini, who captured player of the game honors. He went 4 for 4 with a home run and 2 doubles. He scored 4 times and drove in 3. Robbie Ray, the winner, improved to 6-2. He held the Rockies to 2 earned runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 5 and walking 3.

Mancini had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the top of the third inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Astros went on to win.

"Enjoyed this one," Mancini told the Houston Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The Astros now own a record of 48-56.
