Blue Jays Get Road Win, 5-1
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Kansas City Royals.
The Toronto Blue Jays topped the Kansas City Royals, 5-1, in American League action at Kauffman Stadium. The player of the game was Toronto pitcher and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma native Michael Fulmer. Dellin Betances earned his 11th save in 13 chances.
In the top of the fifth inning, right fielder Andrew McCutchen came through big-time for the Blue Jays. With Toronto leading 2-1, he belted a 2-run home run.
"I really like what we did out there today," Fulmer said after the game.
The Royals, now 51-68, have lost 8 in a row.
