Nationals Subdue Miami, 6-4
|
The Washington Nationals defeated the Miami Marlins, 6-4, at Nationals Park today. Leading the charge for Washington was shortstop Chris Taylor. He was 2-4 with 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. David Robertson notched his 8th save in 8 chances. The first-place Nationals have a one-game lead in their division.
Alen Hanson had a clutch at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for the Nationals. Coming up with runners on 1st and 3rd and Washington trailing 4-3, he hit a 2-run double.
"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Taylor told the Washington Observer.
