5 Straight Wins for Giants
|
San Francisco beat Arizona at AT&T Park, eking out a 3-2 win. The win was due in large part to pitcher Max Scherzer, who earned player of the game honors. San Francisco reliever Chris Devenski picked up the win, upping his record to 5-4. J.B. Wendelken absorbed the loss. This win makes it 5 in a row for San Francisco.
Corey Dickerson, who is tied for 5th in the NL in doubles with 33, contributed to the San Francisco win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the ninth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Arizona manager Mike Arnold. "The effort was great."
