Diamondbacks Rally to Eke Out Win
|
Arizona Diamondbacks starter Max Fried was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the San Francisco Giants, 3-2. Arizona reliever Dan Jennings was the winner. His record is now 7-3. Chris Hatcher took the loss. The Diamondbacks are now 63-69, while the Giants fall to 74-60.
Late-game drama came in the top of the 13th inning. With no one out and the bases empty, the batter, Josh Reddick, hit a double. It helped Arizona seize the win.
"I just try to put up zeroes," said Fried, "and let the rest take care of itself."
