Diamondbacks Fall Short at San Francisco
|
The Giants grabbed a win, 1-0, at AT&T Park, overcoming a fine effort from Arizona pitcher Dinelson Lamet. Lamet went 7 innings and allowed no earned runs. San Francisco reliever Brad Hand picked up the win, upping his record to 7-8. Riley Ferrell absorbed the loss. San Francisco leads the National League West Division by 2 games.
San Francisco won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Riley Ferrell on the mound for Arizona, left fielder Corey Dickerson hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Giants fans to their feet.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Dickerson.
