Twins Lose to Indians, 6-2
|
Cleveland rode a decent outing from starter Ervin Santana to victory over the Minnesota Twins at Progressive Field. The final score was 6-2. The 4th-place Indians are now 57-76, the Twins 61-73.
The Indians got a big at-bat from designated hitter Steven Souza Jr.. For the game, Souza Jr. went 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 23rd double of the season gave Cleveland a 4-1 lead.
Santana told a Cleveland Citizen reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
