Merrifield goes 4-for-5 to Power Twins Offense
Minnesota second baseman Whit Merrifield made his presence felt in the 11-5 Twins triumph over the Texas Rangers. Merrifield was 4-5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 3. Minnesota starter Clayton Richard was credited with the win after throwing 92 pitches over 5 innings. His record now stands at 7-14. With the win, Minnesota goes to 62-74, while the Rangers fall to 81-55.
