Braves Lose, 2-1, at AT&T Park
|
The San Francisco Giants picked up a win at AT&T Park, knocking off the Atlanta Braves, 2-1. On the mound for San Francisco was right-hander Max Scherzer, who played a pivotal role in the win. Brad Hand earned his 17th save in 22 chances. The Giants, at 81-66, lead by one game in their division.
The Giants got a big at-bat from left fielder Corey Dickerson. For the game, Dickerson went 1 for 4 with a double. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 36th double of the season gave San Francisco a 1-0 lead.
"I was a little disappointed," said Atlanta manager Tyler Rumpel. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
