Dodgers Prevail, 5-3, Over Colorado
|
The Los Angeles Dodgers topped the Colorado Rockies by the score of 5-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman Wilmer Difo. Difo was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Dodgers on the day. Cody Allen was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 35 of 37 save opportunities. The Dodgers bumped their record to 77-74 with this latest triumph.
Difo contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Los Angeles in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 2-0, Difo took a sinker from CC Sabathia and stroked the home run to right-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Dodgers to leap in front, 3-2.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Difo said.
