Pham goes 3-for-4, Brewers Move to 100-53
|
Benefiting from Tommy Pham's productive game, the Milwaukee Brewers downed the Cincinnati Reds, 8-3. Pham was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Brewers. Milwaukee reliever Mark Melancon picked up the win, upping his record to 4-1. Felipe Rivero shouldered the loss. Milwaukee leads the National League Central Division by 7 games.
Addison Russell, who is tied for 8th in the NL in extra base hits with 69, aided the Milwaukee cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4 with a double. He scored 2 times.
"It's a good day to be a fan after a win like that," Pham told the Milwaukee Chronicle.
