Harper Goes Wild, But Mariners Win
|
Seattle withstood an impressive performance by Texas right fielder Bryce Harper to defeat the Rangers, 10-8, at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Harper was 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4. Reliever Anthony Banda picked up the win. His record improves to 2-1. Jon Lester took the loss. Seattle's record now stands at 64-91, placing them 4th in the American League West Division.
Preston Tucker chipped in for Seattle with a 2-run home run in the top of the third. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 runs batted in.
