|
Nationals Park was rocking after an exciting Nationals win today.
The Washington Nationals topped the New York Mets, 7-4, with shortstop Chris Taylor playing a big role. Taylor was 2-3 with a double and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Nationals in the win. Washington reliever Aaron Loup was the winner. His record is now 6-2. The losing pitcher was Corey Knebel.
Aaron Hicks was the walk-off hero for Washington. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Nationals center fielder hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
"This joint was rocking," said Hicks.
