Hicks Slaps 5 Hits
|
Aaron Hicks had an answer for everything the Colorado Rockies threw at him today at Coors Field. The Washington center fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Nationals on top, 12-8.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Hicks said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
Aaron Hicks doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Chris O'Grady in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th.
So far this season Hicks is batting .281 with 32 home runs, 83 RBIs and 91 runs scored. He has 163 hits in 580 at-bats, 83 walks and a .371 OBP. Hicks has played in 157 games.
