Sale Sensational for Royals
|
The Kansas City Royals got a magnificent performance from pitcher Chris Sale, who muffled the Cleveland offense en route to a tight 3-0 Royals win at Kauffman Stadium. Carl Edwards Jr. converted his 26th save in 29 tries. The Royals raised their record to 72-89.
In his 103-pitch effort, Sale allowed no earned runs on 5 hits over 8 innings. He walked 2 and struck out 6.
Sale told a Kansas City Today reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
