Tucker Shines in Mariners Win
The 2018 season is off to a good start for the Seattle Mariners. The hometown Mariners knocked off the Cleveland Indians, 8-4, at Safeco Field. Seattle right fielder Preston Tucker was named player of the game. Reliever John Brebbia picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Brett Cecil took the loss.

Tucker had a game-changing single in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-2 cutter from Brett Cecil, he banged a run-scoring single to left, giving the Mariners a 5-4 lead. It was the 3rd hit of the year for Tucker.

"We came out aggressive," said Mariners manager Kirk Shuck. "We came out swinging the bats."
