Royals Bang Out 11-2 Win Versus Seattle
|
The Kansas City Royals topped the Seattle Mariners by the score of 11-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Jurickson Profar. Profar was 3-5 with a triple and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Royals on the day. Danny Duffy got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 7 innings, giving up 2 runs on 10 hits, while striking out 8 and walking 1. The Mariners, now 4-7, continue their poor start.
Lonnie Chisenhall, who is tied for 4th in the AL in doubles with 5, chipped in for Kansas City with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the right fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"We're feeling good in this clubhouse right now after that one," Profar told the Kansas City Today.
