Brewers Need Extra Frames to Get Past Reds
|
Milwaukee third baseman Eugenio Suarez was a significant contributor in his team's 2-1 triumph over the Cincinnati Reds. He went 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for Milwaukee. Grant Dayton got credit for the win, improving to 1-2. He allowed no runs on no hits in 1 innings. The loss lowers the Cincinnati record to 17-13.
Suarez had a game-changing home run in the top of the 11th. On a first pitch fastball from Ken Giles, he banged a solo home run to right-center, giving the Brewers a 2-1 lead. It was the 9th home run of the year for Suarez.
"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Cincinnati skipper Brad S.
