De La Rosa Sensational for White Sox
|
The Chicago White Sox defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 5-0, in American League action at Guaranteed Rate Field, with Chicago pitcher Rubby De La Rosa named player of the game. The White Sox have now won 5 straight.
De La Rosa, who dominated for Chicago, earned the victory to move to 3-0. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7 innings, while striking out 5. Pittsburgh batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.
"It feels good to get this one," De La Rosa told the Chicago Gazette.
