Victory Pushes Giants Record to 62-53
|
Giants left fielder Corey Dickerson put his stamp on his team's 5-1 win over the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dickerson went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for San Francisco in the contest. Michael Wacha picked up the win with 5.1 innings of work. He allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 6. On the season, he is now 5-9. The Giants, at 62-53, lead by one game in their division.
Dickerson had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the top of the second inning, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Giants went on to win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Dickerson.
