Playoff Bound: Angels Win Wild Card Wednesday, October 3rd, 2018 The Los Angeles Angels clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a American League wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 90-73, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said reliever Jeurys Familia. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Angels don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 2nd Major League Baseball championship in franchise history. |
